What is a Third Culture Kid? "TCK" is a term used to refer to children who were raised in a culture outside of their parents' culture for a significant part of their development years. Examples include military brats, missionary kids, children of diplomats and international business people, etc. An Adult Third Culture Kid (ATCK) is a TCK over the age of 18. A Third Culture Adult (TCA) is one who has spent a large portion of their adulthood in other cultures.
